Diesel cars are becoming ever more popular what with
the increased MPG compared with petrol,
modern diesel engines are both quiet powerfull and economical, but since the rise in popularity of the diesel engine the cost at the pump has risen enormously ,
But you can beat the petrol companies by making your own
its very easy ,
heres how bye the cheapest cooking oil you can find if you get it from a caterers whole salers you can pay as little
as 19 p a litre under £1.00 a gallon,
add 3 parts white spirits per 97 parts cooking oil
mix and away you go, you can also use second hand cooking oil but you must filter it properly or you will end up blocking your fuel
system with bits of food suspended in the oil, used oil actually works better than new oil for some reason
and you dont need to add white spirits, if your freindly with your local chinesse ,or fish+chip shop then you can ask them for there old oil, they will probabily be only to pleased to give it to you as it saves them the hasle and expence of desposing of it there self, its perfectly legal and safe , but to stay on the right side of custom and excise you should declare it so they can charge you fuel tax . the fine is £500 i beleive if you get caught useing untaxed fuel so you have been warned, personally i have never in 25+ years of driving ever had
a fuel check but you never know may be im just lucky |
